CR500 Printer Firmware Executable File Version U1.32.2-5

Note: Printer Firmware U1.32.2-5 is an intermediate firmware version that is needed for the U1.33.1-5000 update to succeed. U1.32.2-5 is not supported for production use. Any customer doing the initial update to U1.32.2-5 and failing to do the second update to U1.33.1-5000 is using an unsupported firmware version.

CR500 Printer Firmware Executable File Version U1.33.2-7

This specific firmware update requires the firmware of the CR500 Instant Issuance System to be updated twice in the following order:

  • Datacard_Card_Printer_Firmware_U1.32.2-5.exe
  • Datacard_Card_Printer_Firmware_U1.33.2-7.exe

Note: If your firmware is already at U1.33.2-7, you can update directly to the newer version.

After the FW update to U1.33.2, the printer should be powered off and the network cable disconnected. Once the large display goes blank, the printer can be powered back on with the network cable disconnected. Once the printer is fully powered up, it should be powered off a second time with the network cable attached. The printer can then be powered back on. After this the printer will always use the assigned MAC address.

Card Wizard will not accept the new (correct) IP/MAC combination once it has the incorrect one with the default MAC address. The only way to correct the problem is to restart the Card Wizard services.
